In "The Borderline" operates a power trio, Joe (Voc & Guitar), Anton Fig (drums) and Michael Rhodes (Basss), so here without keyboards like the other 3 parts. In this prelude to the "Tour de Force" ordinary rocking blues is played, the A - and suppressions do not bother me so much, but the recording quality is very good. The song's from "The Borderline" are no longer present at the following 3 parts, only the song "Happier Times" has it again on the set list of the 4th part's ("Royal Albert Hall") managed. I have the same all 4 live albums of this "tour de force" put on me, in the 2nd part "Shepherd's book Empire" also acts additionally a wind trio, the 3rd part is again very rocky and part 4 is the culmination, because there are all musicians of this tour are used (including both drumer). I can recommend all 4 parts of this live tour, the overlap of the song material are limited (only the ingenious "The Ballad of John Henry" is represented in part 2,3 and 4). This "tour de force" is awesome for me even slightly better than the Live CD's or DVD-Do'S in 2009 (London) and 2012 (New York).
