The requirements have been fully met all the device and the picture quality is here extremely convincing. The SD stations have a good quality, as you can the 50, - / year for the HD + save extension, especially since most of the transmitter broadcasts institutions in HD + also no real HD are but only upscaled. The structure (unpacking, foot mounted) incl. Tuning, channel sorting, picture and sound settings, testing and training was done in 2 hours. The menus were (including the station sorting.) Self-explanatory even without the guidance of the menu - come added of the IT technology and have also a good technical understanding.
My mother (76) came with the ease of use immediately clear and has to date, no problems. She is enthusiastic about the instrument and especially the image quality.
About a lot of good things were indeed in the other reviews already written a lot, so I'm here in detail not elaborate.
But the subject of clay and above all the tuning I want to write something in more detail, since my experience of the reviews made here but relative to what could be that Samsung possibly here. The device firmware and the software tool has changed.
Sound:
Due to the extremely small housing one must also not expect the sound, over the built-in speakers. Who wants more here should connect an external sound system, which indeed many do also. But the sound is sufficient for the average user, and can be customized via the setting and the local conditions. After changes in the Sound menu and here especially the equalizer built-in speakers bring a good sound. This effect is reinforced well with me by the fact that the screen is in a television specialist in the closet and the sound is improved.
Sorting channels:
Is written just as many test reports and also in specialist forums, Samsung has its problems with the station sorting. For this reason I have before the official tools of Samsung (Channel List PC Editor V1.01 -) downloaded and the private solution (SamyGo Channel Editor v0.54cd) of the website.
I was amazed how easy but then resorting goes into practice. According to the recommendations in forums I have to sort the use of the satellite receiver via the channel scan Satellite function (setting Astra 19.2) launched a new search, because then at the controlled initial setup in the receiver stored for ASTRA Standard Tuning is not used with a Sorting is not possible allegedly. After triage (all or only free channels) I had then after about 5 minutes more than 700 free channels that were already pre-sorted according to the country setting (German) (ARD HD, ZDF HD, RTL, SAT .....).

There are two options:

- Now a new window appears, I can move the station simply or directly enter a new channel number

Unless one has created a channel plan in advance and enter the channel number directly, resorting takes about 30 seconds per channel. Surely there is something more simple menus (eg Panasonic) but in many other devices (TV or satellite receiver) the effort is not even here less.
2. Sort through PC program:
The menu function tuning I have the program list drawn on a USB stick. Before exporting you have to enter the system password (default 0000). The copy takes a few seconds. I have the file copied to my PC and immediately tries to start on 99 stations for alleged restrictions on the Samsung program with the private program SamyGo. Although I have taken special version for the D Series, the SCM file could not be opened (error message: No SCM-file). So I started the original Samsung Samsung program Channel List Editor. The file could be opened immediately without any problems.
Contrary to the limitations described in the reviews or forums I was very surprised that in the current version but all the channels were (over 700 on the list and could be easily rearranged.
There are for each channel (Air / Cable / Satellite / Astra 19.2) has its own tab (hence the default Astra 19.2 is now sortable and it does not have even an extra transmitter running are performed.
The re-sorting is self-explanatory and can be easily moved with the mouse or placed directly entering the channel number. Also can be filled by simple clicks the 5 favorite lists. For the favorites, there is an extra menu in which you can move some stations.
Even multiple selection and the separation by TV and radio are available.
The function Lock and Unlock I have not tested in the impact, so can not say what it is doing at the moment.
The new list is memorized from under another name and play them easily via USB Stick back into the TV. After Import menu selection, you can select the file. The file will be copied in a few seconds and the TV will restart. After that, the stations are all reordered.
Conclusion station sorting:
The default deadline is linked to the most classic images of TV newspaper. Thus, for many unnecessary resorted. For small changes or for the PC does not have the menu feature on Smart Hub is in my opinion sufficient and acceptable. Anyone who has a PC should perform the sorting with the PC progam as this but is much faster with the mouse as with the remote control.
The TV has installed the latest firmware version from 10/2011. Thus, it may be that the menu possibly for operation. Have been improved.
