Result:
After I replaced the defective lamp, I turned on the fog light and compared the new lamp with more than 6 years old, who was installed as Erstbetückung in the car.
For this purpose the following should be noted:
1. The new lamp had a minimal colder light color than the old one - against the xenon acts which are still yellowish.
2. The difference in brightness is hardly observed.
3. Because I could not believe the result, I have measured both headlights with a lux meter (luminance meter). Result: The measurements show that the Night Breaker maximum 10-15% higher lux values (= brightness) produces, as the 6-year-old lamp in the other headlight. It should be noted that the latter is no longer so bright because of their many burning hours with security, like new (for example, by blackening of the bulb). Of the promised 110% more brightness (= 110% higher lux values) was nothing to measure!
Conclusion:
1. He who believes in the brightness values will be disappointed.
2. Anyone looking for a lamp that suits Xenon light, is also disappointed. Perhaps the Osram "Cool Blue Intense" as more appropriate?
3. Who simply looking for a nice bright halogen lamp, it can take quiet. (By the way, are the Osram lifetime with 150 hours!)
Conclusion:
I can not say whether the same result applies to Headlight (H4). I have here - as it is written - replaces the fog lights H7 in / cornering.
Before the brightness measurement I have both headlight lenses thoroughly cleaned. I have more than 20 measurements in different positions and different distances performed (Digital Light Meters).
In the old "comparative lamp" it was a very normal H7 bulb without any blue stripes or similar changes.
I forgive this 3 stars because the lamp itself is quite ok, but messed up the advertising message. The lamp color shown in the photo of the package is a joke. Product and product clarity truth do not exist here!
Since my wife with the naked eye could not tell the difference, I refrained from the second lamp also talk yet, especially since the installation / removal by the necessary separation of the wheel house interior trim is expensive.
