2 versions:

In addition, there are no polar Flow app for tablets. Incredible! What is also very disturbing, the maintenance window of the server. These are a not notified by email or by message via the app, but only if you log on the Internet on the website. Hardware generally:
The hardware is very high. Stainless steel case, Gorilla Glass over the display, aluminum buttons and a high-quality plastic strap make really powerful impression. GPS:

Display:

Transferability:

Battery life:
On receipt I have loaded the clock again. I wear the clock without interruption since 6 days and am total of 3 hours running with it. With GPS on and with pulse measurement. The battery level indicator is currently at about 75%, which is really good.

1. Lack: Smart Notifications
Yesterday Polar has released an update out, which rotates in broadly to "Smart Notifications". This means that the clock is connected via Bluetooth to your smartphone and you get sent emails and text messages on the clock, also calls will be displayed.
After the update I could not sync with my iPhone my V800, although I have followed the instructions and the devices have developed and then coupled again. I had to delete the app on the iPhone and the V800 reset (pressing the 4 silver buttons). Then I have the app reinstalled and it worked. The same I had to do on my iPad. Other users have this problem ...
I had been looking forward on the Smart Notifications, because it's just handy if you made discreetly in certain situations on an important message carefully, one does not have to look at his smartphone when it vibrates in your pocket. Even vibrations are usually audible and annoying for others. However, what is called the Polar Smart Notifications kidding! Although you can set a sleep time, but not whether the clock vibrate, beep or message / the call should display only on the display. 2. Lack: clock is not "smart"
The clock is not for shift workers or people who have to sit for longer, because they are "smart" is not. Update
I have now the Garmin Fenix 3 looked great and several YouTube videos of "RizKnows" found it. Then I read through the instructions completely and have to say that the Fenix obviously has a very good software and a lot more can be used as the V800. Of course, the Fenix is not perfect, so you have to, for example, manually enable or disable the sleep function, but it stands on much more solid feet as a V800. The synchronization takes place automatically, for example, via WLAN or Bluetooth and GPS in addition to it has GLONASS (the Russian equivalent of GPS) on board. Also, you can configure the Fenix complete without app and website, it is so-not rely as the V800- that somewhere a server running (and since you have not heard of resiliency at Polar, the server on strike regularly).
The Fenix has only one flaw and that is in my opinion the unprotected contact area on Uhrboden. However, as I always Bypass very carefully and care with my things, which should lead me no problem. Gaaaaaaanz long story short: all who want to buy a training computer for the wrist should look at as an alternative to polar V800 nor Garmin Fenix 3. While that is 1.5 times as expensive as the V800 but somewhere must the money for the good developers come yes. Who pays well does a good job, right? :)
