I looked forward to the further adventures of Maggie O'Dell after reading "Cold Blood". I have not been disappointed. The thriller kept me in suspense about 24 hours ... time to read it. It speaks of the influence that an attacker can have on a victim. How, after suffering atrocities, can we overcome the desire for revenge and hatred, the desire to see another suffer as much as you suffered? This is the question of what point is tilted in horror, in the self-aggression. Compared Kathy Reich or Patricia Cornwell, I obviously enjoyed the romantic side of this novel, since found Nick Morelli, one of the characters in "Cold Blood". The only negative is the trend of American always want to ask the question of good and absolute evil, God and the devil. This is, in my opinion, fairly typical of American culture.
