Aside from that, this book is very interesting to help heal differently, of course.
I join the opinion of some readers about the difficulties in procuring some plants with a herbalist, especially in a state of freshness. As for picking the self, we must know them to get it right, where and when to find them ... and preferably live in the countryside.
There is another solution: all the plants mentioned in this book are sold in pharmacies as a tincture.
All except:
- Mallow cheese, but available under three different names: purple forest, musk mallow and (are they as effective?);
- Fireweed and with small flowers, but available under another name recommended by Maria Reben: malaria fireweed.
(Cf. the French laboratory catalog which has a virtual monopoly of this production).
A tincture, it should be remembered, is the maceration of fresh plant in alcohol. One can also make yourself as and extent of its own crops of plants (use of neutral alcohol, such as alcohol for fruit sold in supermarkets in one liter bottle).
It is an alternative, with the advantage of being able to heal with at any time of the year.
Product remains the dosage of the problem at the time of its use (after maceration and filtration) that should be quantified: to emulate, if necessary, in the excellent book by Dr. Valnet "The phythotérapie".
