5 stars for the unbeaten wit!

Since it was years ago Theme Park Bullfrog, was where recognized for the first time, shows how much these halfway playful and young dependents PC gamers (or -in) pleased to build those rides and manage, with which one always has fun itself or had.

And then there was quiet a few years after Theme Park to the hype simulations. Then RollerCoaster Tycoon came from Old-game guru Chris Sawyer and despite woody reviews enthusiasm in the players' community was unbroken.

Now shut RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. The dream of every Ringelspiel fetishists.

Reason number one for me: the last fix-integrated sandbox mode. That is - infinite money, infinite resource and all the rides available - so pure freedom. Since huge mountains can be pulled up, where there is high on the top of the entry and exit and the train chases itself in dizzying ups and downs - Real freak out.

And then the same reason number two: in Theme Park in the early nineties were just CD-ROMs on the market, where suddenly almost unlimited storage was available. Although PCs were still quite feeble and 3D just stuck in the tiniest infancy, already fascinated me at that time the opportunity to drive my rides themselves. Although always the same pre-rendered video was played of the roller coaster ride of the first-person perspective.

Well - with RollerCoaster Tycoon three which is finally calculated in real time: you can really sailing through even the most oblique, own roller coaster construction itself. Of course, with other park guests. And of course, with their cries at every looping - pure atmosphere.

What I also want to mention:

- The game is surprisingly frugal with the hardware. In my mid-range machine everything runs absolutely smoothly in the highest resolution and with all details. Even antialiasing brings not the worst rollercoaster ride into bucking

- And then the potential of the two additional packs in this deluxe box. Soaked! is funny for all pool lovers to Abschreien - from diving boards over waterfalls on breakneck water slides (and even here they can even be tried) are available; the wild! Addon I can not say anything, because both have not yet left me the other

I could now call x-verzückende other reasons why I am excited about this game so I actually each and every family can only recommend (no blood, no violence, creativity and fun high five!).

But now even my criticisms:

Since the game is now really three-dimensional, the operation has become not just simple and clear. Especially at eight railway construction you often have to turn the camera angle and turn until everything fits. That will quickly work and can be quite so a very small hint of frustration set (but the motivation then to rise after completion of construction even in the car and to see how the whole thing has become "bad", but it drives me usually until the last completion of a new roller coaster on).

Then there is to mention that the game was a little bitchy sometimes more on my hardware. Only with the proper graphics drivers were all the details without seeing error - but as I said, that does not have to be the rule, here's can also be located only on my configuration (and patches for the Rollercoastertycoon's also still)

And finally me the tutorials have a little disturbed because it even more efficient and clearly have yet to be made. I will be no Meckert Ante, but for me the tutorials were helpful, but just not the best "Aha! - That's the way!" Feature that I would have liked (in this functionality).

But enough said. Five star was made so nearly perfectly in both disciplines from me because the idea itself is great and joyful or the implementation by RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 (in 3D).
