The fan is noisy. Ich finds ok if you can hear him work. The first 2 days I wanted to exchange the unit only because it really bothered me. But then it was rühiger, begrudge the Lappi some time until everything is installed. It's clear up the first day through the / etc update runs the full swing.

The screen is of course be a bit thick, but you can see that already in the pictures. Who does not like and yet buys, need not complain!

One had criticized the DVD drive? I wonder why ... ejection is perfectly acceptable side. I have nothing wrong.

So now to my Erfahrungen_

Optics: Terrific, I like it very nice aluminum, great cover. Super nice touchpad. Design gets me 5/5 points.

Power: It tinkers with me a I7, I use the 500GB with Express Cache. The performance is okay, considering only the I7 when Ultrabook is not the same as a desktop variant. Here he runs a bit slower. For my application, it is sufficient.

The performance of Win 8 is to ask first the question! But that Acer has nothing to do. Just In Time Win 8 makes occasional zicken. Once there were problems with the video driver, backup to disk also funzt not quite.

The story with the Instant On I find idiotic. The advertisement with the 2 sec Start with Windows 8 is exaggerated.
Windows 7 could even in sleep mode. One must be aware that the computer must be in the state Bye previously. Logically, then there must be the battery, because it eats yes still current.

For me that's nothing when I leave overnight for example with 30% battery power the laptop in sleep mode and next morning have ur still 20% battery power. Since I'd rather lose the 2 sec Start and drive the laptop in 14 sec completely high. Or 8 seconds from hibernation.

Noise: fan already mentioned, under load it is audible. For me, it is rarely the case. He is always active, but is then very quietly. However, the hard disk is audible. Typical access noise. However, only very rarely.

On the whole, it's a super Laptop

Strong negative is the battery life. If you look at it closely, the Asus deserves the name Ultrabook at all. The battery life is 3 hours of internet surfing realistic.
