The second album of Kylie Minogue has been subjected by the British Cherry Red label in cooperation with the PWL studios a rematch. After the Australian had conquered with their self-titled debut, the music world by storm, it was in 1989. Of course it curious if the newcomer success in the new songs would bundle and its reach in such a short time status would be able to keep. And Stock Aitken Waterman have for "Enjoy Yourself" proved the right touch once more. The songs were in style to those from predominantly "Kylie" album similar, so that the recognition effect was given not only by the unmistakable clear and almost youthful voice of the Australian, but also by the musical backbone. And with "Hand On Your Heart", the first single from the album reached again the top chart positions in many countries around the world. Kylie did so continue as successful as it had begun. And with "Would not Change A Thing" and "Never Too Late" was followed by two more beautiful and carefree danceable singles. But who has thought at the time, Kylie Minogue could only shallow disco music, who saw himself not later than the fourth single from the album "Tears On My Pillow", a cover version of 1958 classic by Little Anthony and the Imperials, deceived. Kylie could sing so beautiful and nostalgic tinged ballads and impart a very particular and enchanting stamp. And as a bonus track can be found to underline this fact, then the beautiful duet Kylie Minogue in 1989 sung together with her previous film colleagues Jason Donovan for his debut album. "Especially For You" was also written by Stock Aitken Waterman and could have been well developed in the 50s or 60s of the last century of the Arrangement and the performance point. And since the two Australians have sung the title of the former B-side of the single together, there on the "Enjoy Yourself (Deluxe Edition)" course "All I Wanna Do Is Make You Mine" to enjoy. But even with the beautiful ballad "Tell Tale Signs" or "My Secret Heart" was "Enjoy Yourself" much calmer pervaded, as it has been a year before the debut album "Kylie". And so was the great vocal range and the mutability of the Australian already on their second album more than clear. The "Enjoy Yourself (Deluxe Edition)" includes on the first CD in addition to the original ten songs on the album and duets with Jason Donovan also the B-side of the single "Hand On Your Heart", "Just Wanna Love You". And then it is for all lovers of good old maxi-single versions really exciting and awesome. After the completion of the first CD are the Maxi versions of the singles of the album and the duet "Especially For You". The second CD then revives the exhilaration of great maxi and remix versions again more than intense. There, many remixes of the singles and Extended versions of album and B-sides pieces find resist. Similarly, there is then specially blended single versions and to conclude even a dub version. So a lot of material to make the hearts of all the 80s music fans faster and higher. And the DVD then holds another beautiful video material in the form of videos to the singles and various TV appearances, the Kylie Minogue in the BBC in "Top Of The Pops" and other broadcasts profession ready. The quality of the recordings is measured at the time but really good and brings the same time the feeling of that time wonderfully on today's screens. The "Enjoy Yourself (Deluxe Edition)" is still in a nice thick booklet with new liner notes, many beautiful pictures of Kylie Minogue and all lyrics. And so this beautiful and implemented with dedication remake of second Kylie Minogue album is impressively rounded and a must have for all fans of that era.
