A beautiful work very well illustrated with a good selection of 600 works not to be missed. Order by department with an introduction and for each group of objects a perspective on the works in time and in context with clear language and accessible to all. Louvre quality sheets which are found on site. But that's all there is no information about the work in the museum itself. It has the inventory number and the year of acquisition but not the room number where to admire. I would have liked to have a few planks with the plans of the museum and number of rooms, that is the plan that is made available to home under the pyramid. No presentation of the architecture of the Louvre either, with the names of galleries, halls and the name may be the development of some wonderful ceilings (and yes we must also raise the nose). Some courses proposals in the museum would also have been welcome. I am demanding as all lovers of the Louvre. We understand that this is difficult to implement because of the rotation of the works; but many of the latter part of the permanent collection should be sufficient to establish routes. For example: I would like to see "the man with the gloves" Titian should be in the Denon wing, 1st floor, Room 6 or 7 (the Mona Lisa room) c (p 276 of the guide, No. 328). that is to say with other paintings of Titian but the guide does not tell me (I hear on the Louvre website that is no longer exposure).
A good and beautiful work when including the plan of the museum found on site (or on the Louvre website) and if they complete their research by attending the atlas (base of the exhibited works) online collections.
