Boulet was known by his blog, its ability to implement identified stories, popular, often through prism and original and surprising perspectives.
Penelope, her blog is no longer present, and she was known for her ability without equal, to highlight the little nothing of everyday life, his unique way to recreate much of atmospheres that situations everyday.
With this duo, one could only hope something successful, well done, dinattendu. Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing, this album is as disappointing as the hope it has generated.
Without revealing too much of the plot, the story is supposed to denounce the abuses and excesses of the consumer society in which we live. In fact the comments and criticism never reach their goal.
The story is really misguided, it does not happen much during the 200 pages that the story takes place. The story takes off EVER. You turn the pages, you think it will probably be a rebound, but no, nothing. It follows the heroine in her quest for identity, but it never goes nothing profound. And the end is just a mega FLOP. In closing the book one says it all for this? The story is lame, and the themes are touched upon in the end, the result is a big frustration.
Now the drawing boards if there's really nice, and well worked, especially we see the limits of the line of Penelope Bagieu, many boxes and pages were just average with no real relief flat. If the style is well suited to a drawn blog is another story to maintain the level on a BD 200 pages.
Fans of the comics will certainly appreciate Penelope, minds a little more demanding will be disappointed, as the authors have gone completely off the subject they tried to denounce.
