What is this novel by Jean-Pierre Andrevon? Well pretty well, very well! While history is a closed session and it happens in a public housing. And this building will become a prison for the hundreds of people inhabitants inside. The tower, one may say, as a central figure in the book. We will get to know lots of very different people, from all ages and from all social backgrounds. They will find that nothing works and the clocks, watches and others stopped at 7am. And as a companion, a huge ghostly and intriguing effect that is all around the tower. The chapters are divided into day. All chapters, we will follow all the inhabitants in small chapters more or less short. More hours pass, the more fear will be felt. More and more people will die strangely wanting from this place, away in this strange thick fog. Large earthquakes, the different behavior of some people and even animals. But what happens so ?? And that's not all there as to this mystery where "survivors" think they are on another planet, so there are things going on ... strange compared to on Earth. I will say no more, you will find that you will not be the end of your surprises. At one part of the plot, it changes completely unexpected atmosphere. This really is THE point that one wants to discover the truth to clarify issues. Then as they will be locked in this tower, they will have to help each other. And on top of that, there will be a lack of food and water. As we all know. Locked humans and live together, there will always be a tension that will come, complications. And as it is written on the 4th cover "after all, the worst may not be in the Mist".
In the big first part of the novel, there very little dialogue and lots of descriptions, to Stephen King. And it is soft. But after that exchange. For us it is attached to all this great protagonists gallery. And you will see that they are successful and engaging, which is important. It's pretty violent. The dead are linked together at breakneck speed, once the story started well. Madness invites, dementia, paranoia. What can man when no hope for the future? It is often dirty, attention. In the end, it bothering me. I want to say that the author gives us an answer on why and how but it is a very short and very strange revelation and finally, once the final out, we still raises more questions than before. Yet I find the successful end.
