This book allows (finally) to discuss philosophy simply, without jargon, like a chat by the fireplace, should be declared of public utility. Those who wish to discuss philosophy or come back a few years after their terminal will find the book an excellent introduction to the five schools of thought, five ways to view the world and therefore five different lights to start tracing their own path. Warning! it is not there a history of philosophy nor a mini-encyclopedia. There is therefore some absences: Socrates and Plato are barely mentioned, Sartre is totally absent. The text is still rich enough to make you want to read lots of other books of philosophy.
