At the border between Anne Perry and Jane Austen, Ann Granger provides us with "Of particular interest to the dead," the first in a promising part series! Among the highlights include stuffed characters charming and very charismatic quon left with much regret, (especially main heroine, Lizzie Martin) and quun convincing scenario even sil perhaps lack of a little tension at times, and a perfectly restored Victorian. The pen lauteure, as funny quacérée (hence the merger with the style of Jane Austen), is absolutely exquisite. Besides, a special mention for the translation; although nayant not read the original version, I found the excellent French version, fluid, easy to read (no turn of expression strange or awkward sentence as in some translations)! The liveliness of the style, the spread and other flashes of humor of the author are very well made. In short, an excellent discovery and discover a series for all fans of the genre! Suffice to say that I am delighted to know quun second volume is currently being translated. I lachèterai again!
