This camera does feel a bit like it was an "earlier" :) There's no nonsensical scene modes .. not Smile and "respect for the one who has to .. eyes" Automatic :-P
It has been more emphasis on a great feel and a grandiose lens with a maximum aperture of 2.0, coupled with a large APS-C sensor, moreover, a high ISO Monster is coming !, plus the best "finished" JPEG images from a camera that I've ever seen .. when you can really confidently renounce RAW.
Now comes the BUT:
the original price of nearly 1000 I would never have paid the price it was and is not quite appropriate.
- The AF at close range is just bad, it is simply not possible to take pictures especially turn at f 2.0 with no macro mode and even then the chance is rather bad .. the issue is known and I can live with it
-Under Aperture 8 is nix with 1 / 4000s shutter speed! but you can use an ND filter switch
- Relatively lame and the AF is not always where it should and not the fastest .. now comes the big BUT ----- >>>
Fuji is what the support of his camera usage really exemplary for. there were the countless X100 Firmware Updates! So necessarily make !! it has done very much .. the AF is significantly faster and more accurate grown!
Posted by DPReview to 2,0er Firmware Update:
Improved autofocus
Approximately 20% faster AF speed and enhanced focus distance Compared to the previous firmware version
Close-up focus distance shortened by 30% before needing to switch to macro mode
Improved Manual Focus
New Focus Peaking function assists in manual focusing by enhancing the outline of the subject in high contrast
Improved focusing via the EVF or LCD When Using Wide Aperture
Improved Operability
The camera start-up time has been shortened by 0.2 seconds Approximately.
Pressing the AF button now toggles the focus area selection screen and the area of your choice can be selected
All in all, at the time an absolute price-performance tip!
