It is anyone who knew the two choir organs, wistfully at heart, because the disassembled instruments since 2004 and (hopefully) well supported are in the abbey church of Ebrach near Bamberg. The interpretation of Opp and Krumbach is so finely tuned to the tone of the two Barckorgeln that you can forget other recordings getr0ost. You notice that here two experienced organists, body and soul interpret the interesting pieces. Playing with the Echo, the colored reeds, gentleness of flutes, the fullness of the principals and the Tremulant. Where to start to praise - a round thing. After listening pleasure (! If you got a LP) only makes you wonder: why is for the re-establishment of these two organs no money? It would be a disgrace to civilization first order. There are just no Örgelchen, but full-blown instruments of a skilful organ builder in almost original condition since the mid 18th century. Where are the patrons? Where is the Foundation for Monument Protection?
The key bright spot in August 2011: The instruments are now completely removed and expertly restored by the Restoration Department of the firm Klais in Bonn. By the fall of 2012, they are reinstalled and be inaugurated. That's the best news that can give it. The organ world is again a no - richer by two treasures.
Now was bright sunshine from Lichtblick. After a total of 8 years of silence, the two Koehler Sisters were inaugurated on November 4, 2012 By the Bamberg Archbishop Schick solemnly again. There were 15 Februr on BR Klassik the recording of the gala concert. The restoration team of the firm Klais has done an excellent work !! Everything else is beside the point once. ABOUT
PS from now is this Vinyl record a valuable sound document of the year 1972. The two choir organs present themselves (still) without spot or technical errors.
