Package Contents / markings
The lamp (1 x CREE XM-L T6) is supplied with two rechargeable Li-ion batteries of the type Ultra 18650 and two chargers (1x EU plug; 1x 12V - car charger).
The packaging are no manual or other applications / or warnings (LED light; up / discharge etc.) in. On the packaging or on the lamp there is no CE mark. Only on the lamp itself is a small triangular sticker with a symbol of radiation warning.
Batteries
The batteries were summoned to delivery a bit, so that equal a first supporting and light test was possible. The brightness of the lamp is already enormous. Meanwhile, I have the lamp running out of power in three cycles and recharged. My experience in a nutshell:
- Operating time total:> 6,5 h
- Time after which the maximum brightness begins to: about 3.5 hours
- Charging time: about 4 hours
(A small LED on the battery charger, which is lit red at the beginning of charging it at the end of the charging time in a green-orange color over)
- Loading the power charger is normally hot in my opinion, never too hot
- The charge means 12 V charger to the car I have not yet tested
Since I've read that in "18650" - Batteries are circulating many counterfeit products and the weight of the batteries can be a criterion entirely, (protection circuits installed yes / no; weight per battery
On the battery pack following information is included:
BRC 18650; 4200mAh; 3.7V Li-Ion; Re / Discharging Protection Circuit, Low Discharge rate, No memory effect, short-circuit at Over Current Protection.
Whether this information is true, I can neither confirm nor I have measured the parameters.
As a precaution, I would recommend the following points to consider:
- Batteries unattended load, for example, overnight
- Possibly a secure backing loading
- Pay close attention to the correct polarity
- Do not leave batteries completely discharged
Wearability / Miscellaneous
The wearability of the lamp as a whole pleasant.
More points are summarized in note form:
- Strap from stretchy fabric are at two locations on head size easily adaptable
- The faceplate is padded with a thin foam material inside
- The battery compartment on the back of the head is completed by a soft rubber cover (pad function and protection against splash water / moisture); certainly not continuous rain resistant
- On the battery compartment a small red light when using the lamp to the rear (Warning backwards, I find good)
- The plug-in connection to the charger to the battery compartment is very small and tucked away
- The lamp itself or the viewing angle is gradually locked in five fixed angles
- The cable is on the way from the front (lamp) to the back (battery compartment) a spiral section (elongation ability, very good - not hanging in the air)
- The lamp and the light cone is zoomable and has three light modes (strong, weak, flashing)
- On / off switch located on the front lamp
- Total weight of the headlamp: 275 g
Conclusion
A very helle-, comfortable to tragende- and extremely convenient headlamp. After three complete charge / use cycles I am when it comes to burn time and battery performance, satisfied. The processing of the lamp makes an overall good impression. Some skepticism remains about potential threats by the batteries. I have to express criticism for lack of marking and operating instructions and warnings.
Overall, I would still recommend the lamp. Should there be any new aspects in my estimation, from its use, I would complete the evaluation at this point in any case.
