I purchased the LIFEBOOK incl. Win7 for 278.00. You set up, uninstall useless programs, installing Firefox, virus / Text program etc. took about 1 hour. The Windows Updates however, took a full 5 hours to complete. As inconvenient I feel the arrangement of the terminals, for example the power jack on the right next to the DVD drive, can interfere with each other slightly during the charging process. The battery lasted so far for more than 3 hours Installation work and parallel surfing the net. The keyboard is very good (I own 10-finger speed recorder). It writes itself almost by itself, very pleasant! The touchpad fulfills all the necessary requirements, however, the features such as the scrolling must be set only to "System Settings". The device is certainly not the fastest but for this price but acceptable. The screen is clear, easy to adjust the brightness. The sound of the laptop's speaker is not good, sounds a little, I'll call it, tinny. However, under connecting an external loudspeaker can optimize the sound. I was amazed at what comes out. I can look with stunning sound movies and listen to music. Surely this is but also depends on the external speaker.
Conclusion so far: Recommended, very decent device for that price! It remains to be seen how the long-term assessment fails.
