WASP's career has had its ups and downs, more downs say the gossips, and that, in view of their last albums. However, it should not overshadow the brilliant past of this group. Under the leadership of its two leaders Blackie Lawless and Chris Holmes, WASP have released some good hard rock albums in the eighties between "WASP", the first in 1984, and "The Crimson Idol" (without Holmes celui- there) in 1992. To sum up perfectly the first period of the Group (before the excellent "The Headless Children" in 1989), nothing like this live 1987 "Live ... in the raw". Present some "classics" such WASP "Love Machine", "I wanna be somebody", "Blind in Texas" ... It even learns the origin of the name WASP (I'll let you discover ...) just before a "Harder faster" great days. The atmosphere of the Long Beach Arena is electric with wish, normal, it was here that was recorded on "Live After Death" Iron Maiden! Similarities with Twisted Sister and Motley Crue are detectable here and there since we are dealing with the heavy / very influenced by the glam scene of LA at the time, with the added gore characterizing shows of Lawless and his band, worthy representatives of a fashion launched nearly 15 years ago by the great Alice Cooper. Admit that as a reference, there are worse!
