If it is not, in my opinion, the best novel by Ken Follett, the fact remains that it remains an exciting and breathless thriller which it is very difficult to detach. As often with Follett, quality fiction is associated with the quality of the historic work that transcribes perfectly the atmosphere of the time which gives even more credibility to the plot.
