For the second side of the diptych over evil, F. Thilliez addresses the theme of biology and wondered about the genetic predisposition of some individuals to evil. The novel revolves constantly around the concept of DNA and genetics, and being new to this area, I found the presentation of biological concepts of the author rather convincing and I confess that his explanation of the over-representation of left in violent societies is fascinating. I do not doubt for a moment that a specialist will see shortcuts rude but the purpose of such a book is primarily to entertain its readers.
Which to me is successful even if I find that the author should preserve his two heroes, former Commissioner and former Sharko Lieutnant Hennebelle which it has so subjected to tests as they become caricatures of in dark hero, lonely and desperate.
In conclusion, a very nice book to read a little creepy sometimes well rooted in today's world.
