"If it again" is a good Marc Levy where all the ingredients he likes are present (a man protagonist, female characters around him, questions that are answered late qu`à book ...). The style is fluid and as always very pleasant. Chapters march without one noticing.
The characters portrayed by Levy, is very well built. Firstly there is Andrew, reporter idealist who struggles to know the truth what it costs! He has a strong character but at the same time weakness ... There is also Valerie, his future wife, who is a veterinarian in the New York Mounted Police and is beautiful as the day. Andrew went out with it in college, and had never really managed to forget ... Then there was his best friend, the macho and no possessive Simons, his colleague jealous Olson, his talented Olivia boss ... In short, a whole cast of characters revolve around Andrew and I admit I suspected them all at least once ...
I had the chance to discover this book in audio version, and I found my very pleasant listening! Each chapter corresponds to a reading range. The story is told by Michelangelo Marchese who lends his voice for dubbing film and television. Its tone is mesmerizing. He managed to keep us in suspense throughout the book. It takes talent with the tone and intonations to suit each character and each situation. A great audio book!
To conclude, "If I were doing 'is a good thriller. The suspense is present throughout history. There are also fantastic touch that one does not understand ... at least until the end of the book! So I spent a great time with this book, but I must admit it is not my favorite Marc Levy ... I find the outcome imagined by the author very well put together, but I was a little disappointed at the end that is too vague for my taste ...
