No question: the story and the atmosphere of Deus Ex 3 is splendid. It is part of an instantly cool staged cyberpunk story with all that goes with it: Megacons, implants, the question of the limits of humanity, treason and hard-hitting action.
The game design is also great - a streamlined mixture of Shooter, RPG and stealth, and each of the elements acting appropriately and not just in handicrafts. Especially the RPG elements are very elegantly integrated into the rest of the gameplay, and the balance between stealth and shooter has also been found well.
You will find yourself quickly in the control pure, and it comes as quickly to the point. The difficulty is steep but always feasible, and the scope of the game also convinced.
Technically Deus Ex 3 Like quite - the graphics look at least "good", the soundtrack is fantastic, and the atmosphere is very good over.
So far so good. Could be just thrilled by Deus Ex 3 simple the game, unfortunately, some immense shortcomings. These are all absolutely no reason to find the game badly and they tarnish the overall impression only within reasonable limits, but they are serious enough but then slowing down the game on the home stretch to the masterpiece.
Very briefly described suffers the DEUS EX 3 sometimes at a plentiful stubborn control which is for example annoying designed, easy-to-go times in coverage or to orient themselves in space when it is hectic - show here enough 1st person games, how to do it makes better.
Then there is the often very schlauchige structure of the actual level, acting, very artificial, especially in the cities, in spite of nice graphics and atmospheric details.
Is bad as blatantly stupid AI is that opponents sometimes behave as really the last morons. Pity is that the user interface, at least on the XBox's just not thought out really.
As the last issue of this Match I would call, and in this respect I can be read here a review wholeheartedly agree that the boss fights are rather annoying than exciting.
All these problems are of a very special reason annoying - they are not too serious fact, but act more like negligence in the final of the game. One therefore has the feeling that there is simply a bit lacking in terms of AI, level design and control on the finishing touches, and you can not help feeling that the makers with a bit more time and a bit more care of these problems is definitely in the handle would get ...
All in all, a good in every respect, strongly made game without question - and, with a bit more care in the components AI, level design and control, this would have to be a stroke of genius.
