Despite the many negative reviews I wanted but rather make your own image - you can send back, after all, always. Here is my conclusion:
Positives:
- The picture is sharp, contrasty and has the best color display I've ever seen in a monitor in the consumer sector, high praise for it.
- With the included software delivered "Dell Display Manager", the picture of the current situation (normal, multimedia, gaming, text, film) which has so far proven quite fit. Watch movies in movie mode from natural texts are in text mode more pleasant to read. The default mode is an all-rounder, which can be used safely and permanently when a Umschalterei interfere. Alternatively, can be set for each software on the PC a private setting that activates automatically.
- The response time of 8ms had for me when testing Diablo3 and Starcraft2 no visible effect, I could warnehmen no streaks or delays. Again, the colors and textures are so sharp that it really looks extremely good.
- The input lag (of Prato with 22ms sized) is practically not noticeable for me.
- IPS sparkle is not there.
The elements referred to here on Amazon.com negative points I can not just say that this is 100% correct. I could see the same flaws in my device:
- Backlight bleeding: In the completely dark room you see when you display a completely black image, shining through the strong LED backlight in the lower left corner. That really is not nice, but falls under normal use in no way limited, so do not bother me.
- The monitor whimpers. That's true, unfortunately, and is really a very annoying defect. Who does not believe must only call this page here [...] and a bit of playing with the zoom function. The frequency varies with the font size. That's really too bad and will probably move one or the other to not to order the monitor. But I for one have to say that I could hardly produce everyday situations beyond the aforementioned PDF in which the beeping can be heard clearly. It really needs to be the whole screen filled with text, so this is perceptible. In my files, where with A4 PDF's working in portrait mode, which are also not fully written up to the page margins, no whistling is heard. Also on web sites like Amazon (customer reviews) and newspapers (RP-Online) I could hear no whistle. On Wikipedia, I could see scattered items that are extremely a lot of text and a few images evoke the same phenomenon with. Here everyone needs to know whether and how often disturbs him and then draw the conclusions themselves. I analyzed the whole thing for a while, but currently planning no return, since the phenomenon for my daily use actually does not occur.
So overall a quite successful monitor, with a great picture and significant deficiencies, but Situational occur.
