Then Max and Marie OMO some 30 years before toil to extract salt from the lake. We follow the throes of Mary who loses foot for lack of love of his drowning man in his hard work. An elephant that escaped from a circus roams the dunes, Mary follows him and the whole family tries to find him. Then again Richard Mexico geologist for an oil company. He spent 8 years. He tries to forget Clarissa whose relationship lasted only four months. Rick described this population that ruin the land and the depths, the sun burns their life, hard work and alcohol, we saw a large fishing catfish. Rick Bass shares his love for this region, with many descriptions as well as visual and lyrically sound poetry. Rick Bass denounces the ravages of exploitation of these areas by the oil companies. Rick Bass also goes through the book on this will to live, this lack of fear of living characters, accepting to live a life that is not perfect. Rick Bass sustains what is visible on the surface and makes us see the depths. We feel the inclination to cross the surface of a floor of a dune, discussion and deepen. Rick Bass is a remarkable digger. This is a book to read for those who love the land that we have and the life.
