Most of it was already said, so I describe only my brief personal impressions.
The processing of the device is very good and the ports easily accessible. Only the included stand makes me a little spongy impression - the device varies according touches easily, but is stable. Installation is simple.
The menus are fairly well organized and remind me a bit of the PlayStation 3. After a short settling I got along very well with it. To channel list or TV features I can not say anything because I use a receiver. This point was indeed criticized here again - it does not concern me, however. The remote is not illuminated - would have been nice, but my remaining there are not.
The sound or the sound of the instrument is okay, but a sumptuous sound volume you should not expect from such a shallow unit also. For the regular TV program it was enough though, everything else I run a home theater system.
A firmware update I have done directly manually. A new was available. Auto Search and date can be set.
Now to the important things ... the image.
2D: Super and frankly better than previously expected! Rich black level and no Clouding ... a black image in completely dark places is black. The illumination is homogeneous and even the corners cause any problems, which has given me a little worried before buying an Edge LED device and for me at that time was reason to buy the plasma. The default picture settings were okay, but I've found a better setting in the Internet, with which I am very satisfied.
3D: The Bravia here is my first 3D-capable device. I've tried several movies directly and 3D-capable video games on PS3 and Xbox 360. The IMAX documentary Wunderwelt oceans offered eg some very nice effects and occasional films had not great before the Dolby3D or RealD cinema variant in hiding. When I use the 3D glasses TDG-BR250 new Sony, which is lighter than the BR100 and can be charged via USB. She holds 30 hours and the full charging time is 30 minutes. A quick charge of 3 min. Is sufficient to instructions already for 3 hours operation. Costs about 60 euros, making it even more affordable than its predecessor. There are TV sets that offer a more mature 3D mode for the price range can be found here but not much to complain about. Every now and then there's something ghosting, slight blur and the standard for 3D brightness loss. For me, it is sufficient and the 3D mode is in any case only a nice bonus ... the majority of movies and games is consumed anyway in 2D.
Conclusion: Super device in its price range, I can wholeheartedly recommend. If you want more, you have to dig deeper into their pockets.
