The console itself is very pretty, and fun to learn, with a soft touch coating and keys that seem solid. Note however that it is slightly difficult for little hands to reach the new tranche keys. The console opens and closes easily, and the buttons are well laid. Aesthetically, it's a real success for a console sober, elegant and pretty. However, I hereby issue a negative opinion about some aspects of the hardware of the console:
The directional pad right
Main novelty of the console, namely the mini pad to the right, it's more a "nub" touch a true analog stick. It could be compared to small directional buttons using mouse on some laptops. In any case, its effectiveness is questionable because it is difficult to accurately handle this button, especially for games where there used to handle the camera or to aim for.
The screens.
The 3D screen is fun to discover some minutes, but me personally this 3D quickly tired eyes, and I've never used to see the opening sequence of my game. As for the screen Touch, it lacks responsiveness slightly compared to that of a smartphone or a PS Vita.
Autonomy
It is theoretically 6am, but with a full battery charge, I can achieve a maximum range of 4 hours, and seeing very wide. The charger is however well placed and over long enough to play comfortably charger and charge the 3DS.
Importantly, although I took great care of my console, the buttons and the touch keyboard suddenly dropped me after a few days of moderate use! Can not interact with my console, only the "home" and "ON / OFF" button working again. I have not found a satisfactory solution on the internet, and have deduced that it was a defective product. Fortunately, Amazon was like his usual quick and effective in treating the problem.
In the end, I still had some reservations about recommending this new 3DS since I had a defective product, and that the main novelties have not really convinced me. However, I am happy with my purchase and asked for a replacement, because I am very impressed with the toy library provided the 3DS, still I think the main selling point for its portable Nintendo.
