* PACKAGE *
The SpeckGrabber is delivered in a plastic tube. Here are brief instructions and two cleaning wipes are single use.
* FEATURE *
There is a sticky, flexible plastic piece at the top of SpeckGrabbers. By this dust adheres. * PROBLEM *
With my Nikon D800 some of the sensor spots not penetrated dust but oil stains due from the mirror mechanism. This can be seen but not necessarily at first glance. When I came to the SpeckGrabber contrast, not only was this dirty, but AUC a significantly larger range of the sensor as previously. For me is ert noticed after three or four times more dots that something is wrong. Then I had to clean the sensor with Swabs significantly more thorough than usual wet. The same thing happened to me also with other inserts, only that I did not then spotted. But only touching the oil stains increases this and makes them more visible than before. So again wet cleaning.
* PROCESSING
The Speckgrabber feels cheap and fiddly. However, the design is not a disadvantage.
* CONCLUSION *
For the "dry" removing dust grains of SpeckGrabber is actually well suited. I will not use it, however, because of the problems described above continue. Even if he works better in 4 out of 5 inserts, as a wet cleaning, so make failure situations a lot more work and stress, as they would have with a simple wet cleaning. Especially since I originally thought I could frequently clean the sensor as with my Speckgrabber Swabs and not only have to wait until the sensor is very dirty. Bottom line, I had the SpeckGrabber only more work and trouble than I'd had it with swabs. However, I admit that a mere dust-removal function satisfactorily with the SpeckGrabber. However, I will no longer continue to use it.
