Only mediocrity for:
-The usual mobile games (in order for Angry Birds and Co, but no longer)
-Fotografieren And video (totally ok, but not brilliant)
-Generally very large / data-hungry Android apps (that load slowly, then go smoothly, however)
Video clips that are longer than a few minutes (square screen is quite possible for all, but not for it)
Bad for:
-Read Large PDFs (I would not have an iPad Air also looked at more closely in daily use for PDFs and the like, I would have the BlackBerry Passport: but if the Classic was perfect.)
View -Spielfilme (also for the iPad is unbeatable; though Netflix is going well, but the Classic screen is flat, square)
graphic-intense gaming
As I came to the BlackBerry Classic:
After years with several iPhones (1-4, in the meantime also 5/6) and a Samsung Note II (with Cyanogen Mod recently to turn the bloatware) it was time for a new work phone. Dissatisfied with the hardware quality and software aspects of the Samsung and completely unconvinced of Apple's product development (actually been around for iPhone 4s) I have various Android, Windows etc. models looked at without being really find. But of course, no Blackberries. (Also, since you no longer shown in many stores?)
Then a colleague mentioned that he has switched to the BlackBerry Classic and shows it to me. Wow, sees the good - very different from the whole mass of glass bars! This classic and attractive, with a great feel. A good five minutes, "messing around" with the device and two hours of research later I realized: I also climb around. Thank God is to have our competent IT-ler for.
The impression has been confirmed by now more than a month of daily (and nightly) use:
Software:
The BB10 operating system is in my opinion way better than iOS and Android - and not just for my purposes, but a large number of users. All hits - despite the latest processor no longer - and is intuitive! On the one hand: Gmail and .Mac accounts and cloud services (including Microsoft, Dropbox ...) can be easily integrated as needed. At the same time I'm not "trapped" in the "Walled Garden", the ecosystem of the two giants Apple and Google about. In addition: My work is cleanly separated from the private sector. And BB10 has the unbeatable "hub", and Blackberry Blend and many other things that neither iOS nor Android have.
Hardware:
The device not only looks "oldschool" classic good; it is incredibly well processed and is extremely solid and comfortable to hold. Wertig easy, and in terms of size very comfortable for one-handed two-handed writing and benefits. The keyboard must have tried; it is a poem. Anyone (like myself) before a Bold had, before the iPhone boom about, also will be sentimental :) These many little things that an uncanny detail and love in a good way to show to come: The warmth of the screen and white about seamlessly regulate about.
My subjective impression seems to be an isolated case: By now my wife is going to upgrade, several other colleagues, and a good friend.
PS: The solid construction also means that a shell is of limited significance, m. E. had still some tried and used the "Soft Shell" Clear Case BlackBerry when I'm traveling.
