A modern tale

The Mechanics of the Heart (Paperback)

Customer Review

Newsletter subscriber Olivia RUIZ I received an email last Saturday informing me of the release of the new CD of Dionysus, soundtrack of the eponymous novel.

Listening to the songs available on myspace, I confess to being seduced by what appears to be a modern tale. The cover of the album and the music world also reminds me of Tim Burton's universe and more particularly that of "strange Christmas Mr Jack."

Equipped with a voucher so I am going to Asda to acquire the novel and the CD.

I was disappointed neither the one nor the other not:

The novel Little Jack, a young baby birth on the coldest day of the world by the strange Doctor MADELEINE which hosts the lame earth to heal, can only survive thanks to the grafting of a clock that allows to beat his heart.

Yet to live normally, he shall not suffer any strong emotion or anger, much less love.

Yet he discovers one day that he comes out of the lair of Dr. crystalline voice of a little girl, Miss Acacia whom he falls madly in love.

Unfortunately, it is not the only one in the running, Joe the school's boss also like the little Miss Acacia. Little Jack quickly becomes the JOE pain suffers.

A fight ending badly, forcing Jack to leave Edimburg city of residence and try to find Miss Acacia distributed in his homeland, andalusia.

Beyond the odd but endearing characters who populate this novel Mathias MALZIEU delivers a poetic reflection on the feeling of love.

The interest of the CD is that after reading the novel (in an afternoon), it is possible to relive the satiety.

A very nice initiative, the diversity of performers (DYONISOS, Emily Loiseau, Arthur H, Olivia Ruiz, Rossy de Palma, Grand Sick body and even Jean Rochefort and Eric Cantona) in the album lets not get tired of listening .

Then run buy both, they could be a very nice Christmas gift
