A monster with many heads!

As it is now, then, the new album of Within Temptation. I am Within Temptation fan since the release of "Mother Earth", which has then completely blew me and my way is open for a new musical direction.
One was clear with each new publication, Within Temptation not stay in one place standing. Especially with the predecessor "The Unforgiving" This became clear (for me in a positive sense) and this way will continue.

So now the monster with many heads "Hydra":

01 Let Us Burn: "Hydra" starts with a strong rock number. Immediately a Sharon singing falls on positive, to "Hydra" delivers her best vocal performance in my opinion. The guitars and drums popping out of the boxes and the chorus no longer be a going so fast.

02 Dangerous feat. Howard Jones: Now taking the monster on full speed and the double bass flies one around the ears. At first I have done myself a hard time with the song, but still hummed all the time the chorus. After listening to several times to "Dangerous" developed into a true highlight. A quickie with matching singing partner.

03 And We Run feat. Xzibit: Nanu? the first ballad of the album? Not even close. A hip-hop number? Even further lacking. An epic highlight? OH YEAH! Here awaits us a very epic piece that one picks up immediately under its spell. I hardly think a song better connects the old and new Within Temptation. And Xzibit? Fits perfectly in the song. Point.

04 Paradise (What About Us?) Feat. Tarja Turunen: The first single off the album with 2 singers will probably be forever unique in their genre and in perfect harmony. Class number with a great melody and a chorus of again remains immediately hang in the ear.

05 Edge Of The World: So, now Sharon is first again single-handedly turn. "Edge Of The World" begins with very unusual sounds, but evolves into one of the most beautiful ballads since the album "The Silent Force". When the predecessors I could not really start something here convince myself Within Temptation again across the board with the rock ballads. Very nice! What again is particularly striking: it happens so much in the background and in every song on the album, listen times closer.

06 Silver Moonlight: Starts very quietly and then breaks out completely! What was that? Exactly Robert's growls are back! Oh yes it I have waited and fits perfectly into the song. Do not be afraid, for those who could not do anything with "Enter", the growls are used discreetly. Epic, fast and easy class.

07 Covered By Roses: If you liked "Sinéad" from its predecessor will love this song. The good mood rock song of the album. Here are grumbling again, I find the song just awesome. Still sitting in the corner Me? None, in "Covered By Roses" no foot stays longer breastfeeding. The song is fun, is extremely forward and has an interesting middle part.

08 Dog Days: The Album quieter next number begins. While I have left completely cold as I said to the two predecessors "The Heart Of Everything" and "The Unforgiving" the ballads, convince me on this "Hydra" more so. Beautiful song with a great chorus.

09 Tell Me Why: Now again the guitars are unpacked and another rocker awaits us. "Tell Me Why" definitely takes time to ignite. One has first to feel the song could not keep up with the others, but then unfolds still. Especially the middle and the end to know to convince here.

10 Whole World Is Watching feat. Dave Pirner: The sweetmeats that never the ballad with guest vocalist Dave Piner. Both voices harmonize perfectly again and make the song as a sugar-sweet ending. Probably the Radio-fittest song on the album, which is not meant negatively.

"Hydra" is the perfect title for this album. This album has a lot of heads and which is written not only by the guests on the album but also by the variety in "Hydra" tall. Without a single loss and a mixture of pop / rock / hard rock and the old Within Temptation Within Temptation will present us her total strongest album.
Those who are already with "The Unforgiving" could not make friends should at least listen before time, because this path is continued only epic and rockier here. I like it and I think I've been here a contender for album of the still young 2014 in hand.
