Here there is only music from the parts VI, VII and X to hear. Ironically, I have just complained only at the new DW-album that there is little new in the sense of FF titles are what sometimes still could not enjoy symphonic treatment, but still can be heard from the more prominent parts only the usual suspects, but I after now this album I've heard here can generously both eyes zudrücken- because the suites are absolutely fantastic-so at the level of those of Symphonic Odysseys. This section explains what you can do from Uematsu melodies everything and can get out! All this sounds like a great film score.
The best example: the piece The Nibelheim Incident. My Goodness! Here is with the pieces to Sephiroth and Jenova the inner transformation of the silver-haired madman who, as fans know, opens with the murder of Nibelheim-residents, the destruction of the village, as well as the confrontation between him Cloud and Zack, musically perceptible ! For the first time the Sephrioth Theme Those Chosen by the Planet is played (apart from One-Winged Angel) orchestral. Whereby One-Winged Angel in this piece has a fascinating appearance. It is so fantastic, and no doubt one of the highlights!
And just as well it goes with the other pieces and continue in an excellent sound!
Conclusion:
For me this album is absolutely the first major musical event of 2015! For fans of the music of the games this is likely more than just a look its worth, too, and that you have to clearly say when the arrangements some of the remove what the player knows. The suites are clearly more complex than previous orchestral implementations of FF music and sometimes you have to listen even more closely to detect certain motifs from the respective games. However, if you want to enjoy only the individual pieces should remain in the Distant Worlds publications. Although I hardly think that can hear a true Final Fantasy fan of this 95 (!!!) minutes long album without inevitably get goose bumps! You can tell just that the people here really been thinking about the arrangements. And I find that absolutely amazing! And that for the price! The only thing that bothers me is something that I have nothing I can put on the shelf. I would have preferred ne 2-CD edition. But whatever. So is the whole at least also affordable for all.
Absolute recommendation!
