I bought this book because I have to offer the 4 volumes of the moods of the sea (it is the second) and the tetralogy is absolutely fascinating. This volume deals with the problem harkis released by France at the end of the war in Algeria. But anyway, read the four, each covering a different topic and, despite what Volkoff writes in the preface (Volume I, Olduvai), it is better to read them in order. The first is rather disconcerting but the reading effort is rewarded afterwards. I say no more to preserve the pleasure of discovery. A word still on the 4th volume: a beautiful reflection on the passing of time, the beginning of old age, paternity desire. But I'm biased: I love this author. :-)
