Original review (03/11/2011)
========================
I have the TROTEC TTK100S for several weeks in my basement in continuous use. The following review summarizes my personal experience with the device.
Kaufgrund
---------
My wet basement was a dehumidifier (UHU) no getting on base granules. While the water reservoir has always been fully exhausted and the granules, so I had to use a spare bag every two weeks, only the moisture did not disappear. Because after a while the granules costs would explode anyway, I decided to buy an electric dehumidifier. The choice fell on the TTK100S because this extremely well section in the evaluation of users and within the price range has the largest water canister. (I just do not want to go every day to empty the tank in the basement, drainage for emptying hose is not available.)
Service
---------
The handling is surprisingly minimalist and simple in the era of LC displays for each nonsense. There are only three indicators and a knob. Done.
The built-in at the bottom wheels make the unit very mobile. When things have to change the floor is permanently installed a park matic handle.
Operation
--------------
(Do not remove the Styrofoam float!) A quick look into the water tank, reinsert, then dial to the left and plug in the socket. Nothing happens -> an operation on a Schaltzeituhr is not provided. I do not think that a drawback would be me something too risky if such a device (despite automatic shut-off at full water tank) picks up again after a power failure by itself. Knob fully clockwise and the unit gets going and is also clearly heard. I would not say that it is as loud as a hair dryer, but a loud Ventilater corresponds to the noise already. A use in residential areas is therefore only partly recommendable, at least if you are staying nearby. Mir is not care, the dehumidifier in the basement.
After the first few hours the water tank is already well filled and thus the granules by a mile, and the air feels noticeably dry after a few days on.
The stepless control is designed as follows: the device is operated initially in continuous operation (right stop of the controller). As soon as the desired humidity level is reached, turning the knob as far to the left until switch off the dehumidifier. In this position, the regulator remains then and the unit will turn on when it falls below the set humidity turned on again. One could of course complain that there is no digital display of relative humidity, but at the price I want anyway rather solid technique as gimmicks. You stepless control is simple and intuitive, and does exactly what it should.
Incidentally, I have never spilled water when removing the canister.
Others
---------
The dehumidifier consists of white and gray, smooth, relatively simple plastic. It has no sharp knew and is quite nice to look at. To designate the unit shapely but then perhaps dared. The relatively high weight indicates that here solid technology was installed. (But what logically is just a guess.)
Summary
---------------
Immaculate unit, which has a good dehumidification performance and is very easy to use. Unfortunately, quite noisy.

ADDENDUM (10.11.2011)
==================
Contrary to the statements made above, the unit turns on automatically when it is connected to the outlet. A power failure therefore does not affect the dehumidifying and also a commitment to a Schaltzeituhr is no obstacle.

ADDENDUM 2 (12.09.2012)
====================
I have the dehumidifier now been well over a year now in continuous use and it still does exactly what it should. There are no signs of wear noticeable.
Depending on the temperature, he shoveled sometimes more and sometimes less water from the air. Whether that is now up to the lower capacity of the cooler air, a lower effectiveness or a combination of both, I do not dare to judge.
In short, an investment that was well worth it. I dread to think what the untreated Humidity had done with my stuff stored in the basement I ...
