The vestibule of lost causes is the story of all those people who go to Saint Jacques de Compostela. They all have reasons and different situations, they suffer, they question, they doubt, but they all meetings on this path that transform gradually. Browse the path is a challenge because it is physically demanding but it is also a way to cut the world that we know to be born different. A novel very well orchestrated because we get to follow the course of the various characters without trouble, although I admit having read it over several weeks time to enjoy these interwoven stories. This pilgrimage is experienced as purely religious by any of the main characters, which perhaps helped me to appreciate the history and background that made me want one day I too make this pilgrimage while I am not a Christian. Good novel! No tearful though of course many characters have sad personal stories! Really a good read for anyone that the road to Saint-Jacques intrigue!
