This external flash from Sony is of course not a professional device for rapid continuous use, but certainly better than the built-frontal flash of a compact camera. I use it with a Sony RX100M2 which is known to have a hot shoe. Here it turns out well thought out - with built Bouncer and adjustability for telephoto use. The camera, however, should it be a little prepared: In the P mode, it tends to choose the smallest aperture (1.8) always for that flash. I prefer here the A mode (shutter priority) and then place the panel at a 4.0. In addition, the AF mode to spot metering, which brings more depth and thus sharp images. Such a flash can be well pack with a pleasant helpers. I would buy it again.
