Indeed, as the name suggests, this is a bright alarm clock indicator: the time display is mainly used to set the time of passage of the blue light to yellow light because the screen is very small and unlit in the dark. The little child would have had trouble to read one hour basic display. We can set the duration of the night of the child entering bedtime and the sunrise time on the program 1. For ours, when the cursor is over the top prog 1, the dial-image off during the day; at bedtime, the dial lights up with a pretty blue light (light not too strong and adapted to sleep is successful) and the scheduled time of sunrise, it turns yellow. This is true as has been said, only the outline lights, it is impossible to see Sophie's picture in the dark (contrary to what is pictured). Similarly, the blue image of the owl is not as visible. Our yellow pilot light goes out after an hour, so we do not have to think about it. Program 2 is used to fix the timetable so the weekend on Friday pushed the top slider on the program switches back and 2 on Sunday on the program 1. The pilot works on mains and batteries (handy for nights at grandma) she enchants our little girl.
By cons, it is true that all is not so neat (see the use in time) and the images would like the pictures are much less visual: why show what is not seen becuase it is a little disappointed. The buttons are not so easy to disrupt a child but with key-on, sure that he must achieve; why not a lock?
Our daughter prohibition of touching or moving (I'm not sure he can resist shocks or triturations of a small), it is very helpful for the child to mark the times of sunrise and sunset : the time is set in advance, it's time for a point, that's all.
