Qualities:
- Very good optics, at full aperture DX.
- Lightweight and unobtrusive.
- Product actually images that it seems not to be able to get otherwise.
Faults:
- No stabilization.
- No afs = no autofocus below the D90.
- Closest Focusing a little distant.
- A little bit exclusive, as unsuitable for use "point & shoot" (if "no photographer" borrows the device, it may not love at all ...)
To know:
- A fully open and moderate distance, the depth of field is so weak that the slightest movement of the subject or the photographer questions the focus. So it is better to spend the autofocus mode C (continuous) because in S mode, the focus will not be updated if a displacement occurs between mid-stroke trigger pressure (development and calculation exposure) and full pressure (shutter opening).
- In extreme situation, with as bright optics, autofocus D90 starts to be challenged by the lack of light while the sensor, pushed to its maximum sensitivity, can still produce usable images.
