What can he?
Not much, but for the better. Unproblematic rice cook - just that this boiler is optimal! Fire & Forget. Rice pure water pure, lid on, start, forget and do something else (eg, the main dish to prepare).
We have the 1L model chosen because it is sufficient for us (4 people). Rice is with us but always only supplement, ie einerem higher focus on this food, you can also safely access the 1.5L variant. The large 2L is then but certainly for more than 4 people.
In plain language this means: 1-4 cups of rice (120g to 450g) uncooked rice + water can be prepared without any problems. For 4 cups (or more) I would be careful - we have not yet made but already at 450g + water the pot was at the end of the cooking process "fed up fully". So if you need more, should choose the larger model.
And otherwise?
The device comes with a plastic spoon and a measuring cup. Former we use zweiteres not because we use our experienced Tassenmaß (which is a bit smaller, but only at the margins). The device itself consists of a non-stick inner pot (Aluminum, coated) and the device itself.
Cleaning is simple: Hot Spüliwasser and a soft cloth (otherwise scratch the coating and breaks). In the dishwasher I would not do the pot! Not only that, I am afraid that the pot material suffering itself, but also the non-stick coating like that not long term.
As I said: Fire + Forget, after the end of cooking, the unit switches to the keep warm function. That's all there really is not to say to use.
Conclusion
Totaly a buy rating, price-performance is great, the practical value high.
Why then "only" 4 stars? Well, this is our second piece of equipment from Tristar. The previous we had to dispose of, because the coating of the inner pot dissolved. After about 4 years, which is certainly not a big gripe, and to explain the fact that we have initially used the warming function extensively (which a thermal load for the coating represents). In this respect, one can see that the RK6111. But what leads to the deduction of points is that a spare inner pot is indeed available for purchase (on the website of Tristar), this however incl. Postage is so expensive that you can buy a new be the same! This is not particularly sustainable and here one would have certainly wished for a slightly better solution.
