The keyboard and mouse are both powered by batteries (included). The connection to the computer is immediate since simply insert the USB drive comes in a corresponding port on the computer.
1. The keyboard
We must first note that this is a full keyboard with a numeric keypad allowing use with a tablet or laptop devoid of such a pad.
Compared to keyboards I've used so far, this keyboard has at first sight interesting improvements especially for people who do a lot of foreclosures:
-A Padded and removable media for the wrists. The palmrest comprises at the front 2 legs that allow it to raise, according to the user manual, "to promote a natural wrist position." After a few tries I prefer the lowered position of the legs.
To detach the palm rest must be pressed a lock in this element.
-A "Touch" function Fn which is no longer in the form of a touch of a switch but that can remain constantly on. For example to increase and decrease the volume of the sound it is no longer necessary to worry about the Fn key if it has been activated initially.
-The Space bar is separated into 2 parts. When pressed simultaneously for 3 seconds on the left 2 parts can then be used to backspace continuously (erase backwards). For the left side serve again spacebar simply repeat the maneuver.
2. The mouse
It includes a specific command 8 or Windows 7. After some tests on my Windows computer 8 I have not yet received interest in using this command.
Furthermore, this mouse works quite correctly. In particular, the pointer moves normally when the mouse is placed on a support that is not too reflective. But it has not the qualities of a Logitech wireless mouse that I use for some time. So I tried to use the Logitech mouse with this new Microsoft keyboard. This test was successful.
In summary in this set keyboard convinces me more than the mouse. But you can use another wireless mouse with this keyboard. The number of stars which I attribute concerning the keyboard. For the mouse I would have put a star under (3).
