First of all: I am admittedly rather late become so really warm with KOL, had once until only by the night (the 4th and in my opinion rightly vaunted album - see if you are interested my Rezi!) Caught on fire. But then it had happened to me, have me all previous albums - chronologically correct - increased and could not understand long as I ignore this authentic, groovy, rocking-quivering family so long to ... (As proof of my fundamentally positive attitude towards the band may please all other Rezis to COL - are used) - here at Amazon!
In short: I have all the studio albums of KOL, including the live Bluray (from the O2 Hall in London).. Even more: Unquestionably KOL have become for me a firm, no longer imagine being without Fixbestandteil of recent music history, for me roughly on par with bands such as The Strokes, Pearl Jam and / or Arcade Fire, I (to name a few to name) is also highly appreciate!
BUT: After the last Tees in come around sundown, more or less - - (off for me logical reasons - but that is always written elsewhere) no longer really in the About Drüber predecessor (up only by the night) was able to build, MB is the only logical continuation the first "mini-crisis" of the band's history. Could on its predecessor at least still individual tracks inspire, so this remains - even after already several of completed Hördurchgänge - unfortunately the exception. Moreover, there is nothing surprising, new, Thrilling ... In short: For me, MB has become a technically modern standards corresponding average album that you KOL certainly can assign any problem, because since a is to hear a familiar voice and b.. in between, but (unfortunately) always cautious and shy, a touch of real class comes COL. Ultimately, however, just enough to inspire completely can.
Actually, I could make out no real hit basically, with me still the best opening track like. To be sure, as my general music Interessierter also aware that adjusts some delicacy only after intensive Listen-- still with me is because doing so far precious little.
I want here and now certainly scare any old KOL fans and certainly not provoke or take any stupid anti-attitude. A total of COL-novice for me was a disappointment, although I was ... unfortunately hovered already like to come around. Secretly, one hopes just yet again that so gifted bands as it can be without doubt KOL, yet manages an unexpected masterpiece ...
Well. Stay yes least 4 other great and a good album in the collection yet. From the current point of view, I can hardly imagine that MB will ever often taken and placed similarly from the CD shelf as his brothers. Too bad - but sometimes just also no real surprise!
One more thing: I wonder frankly a bit about the fact that over come around ... mostly clear critical was judged while the novice seems apparently to accept joyfully. Mir is at any rate incomprehensible and I firmly believe that KOL determined more significant works as this will deliver here ...
Currently anyway's seems as if a little bit the air outside. Too Bad. Does not matter. Next time, if necessary, to take a slightly longer intermission (unnecessary pressure often leads to really good results - a little feels to me just now also to MB) and then concentrated, relaxed and casual (which has of course for me just as the first two Albums made so beautiful) get to work!
No offense, but the (usual) high expectations on my part (though already similar was to be feared) was that Silberling largely unfair.
In my opinion, I think even the 3 stars that I hereby "Spice" 6th KOL studio album, for slightly flattering!
Conclusion: Solid rock / pop production with ordinary (erwartungsgemäßem) sound. However, the AHA and / or Oho experiences remain the exception to this newcomer.
My (modest) wish (I have but then give eh rest): remembers you but really a little bit to return - as would something else! As for experimentation, playfulness and "sound strategy," said the former masterpiece ONLY BY NIGHT is simply nothing more to add ...
Point and that's it.
PS I ask not solely to evaluate local review bad, just because someone "dare" only 3 star for the newest KOL album to give away. But constructive criticism and an open exchange of ideas among music lovers are friends I always welcome;)
