A thousand suns- Burning in the reviewers' sky?

The fourth LP album is different. It goes away from the metal and towards synth and electropop (Iridescent, Burning in the Skies). In addition, like long and melodious monotone, ritualistic passages are used, especially in the interludes and songs like 'The Catalyst'.
Musically very particular and not only for LP fans taste.

Short Single reviews:
03 Burning in the Skies: In the beginning, a melodic, quiet pop song with great lyrics. Sounds like Burnout how 'Shadow of the day'.
05 When they come for me: Raplastig, with text Wi refrain. Used to, but really interesting.
06 Robot Boy: Beautiful idea as chorus, unfortunately there is no verse. This makes the whole thing becomes monotonous.
08 Waiting for the end: My favorite! Faulty anthem song that moves. Anyone who enters it, can not help but sing along.
09 Blackout: combination of dark atmosphere and metal- typical 'screaming' what does not have to be necessarily bad. In Remixes as that of
___ 'ZwieR.Z' (s. Youtube) is the mood even better to wear. Something for fans of older music.
10 Wretches and Kings: hip-hop with distorted guitar sound. Somehow different. The song is absolutely a matter of taste.
12 Iridescent: As the first song melodic and relaxed. Suitable for anchoring and dreams. Come to right in Transformers.
14 The Catalyst: Again, good mood. After at least three minutes, the song goes, but on my nerves, because simply no variation
___besteht, neither melodic nor the text. Who likes the tune, which was to resort to one of the many really good remixes.
15 The Messenger: The screech of C. Bennington definitely does not fit the melody!

All in all an album that quite convinced atmospheric, although About Hits missing. One has to just engage in it (which explains the rather polarized settings). However mus be the band very well be accused of having three years produced only nine songs, because the reconciliations are partly really bad. Anyone thinking to pick up the album, you should definitely check it once and see if the sound speaks to him.
On the use of typical rock elements was dispensed with in favor of mood. This can many a burp.
For me, this album provides a wonderful contrast to the Metal songs. Thus 'Iridescent' on my best-of CD a place between 'Given Up' and 'Figure.09' held.
