We had tested several devices in recent years, unfortunately, all went back because the LED technology is easy to lack afflicted. Waiting for OLED in the affordable segment is probably in vain, as the trend towards UHD / UHD2 devices will continue with LED lighting. Because UHD / 4K currently is actually sinnfrei lack of available content and already UHD2 / 8K is waiting in the wings, we in July decided on a last test of a full HD equipment after we have examined in the summer for the first time live a Curved-TV.
Positives:
+ See no banding (darker, vertical stripes in camera pans to the same color space, for example turf at football) and DSE (Dirty Screen Effect / like dirt or a dark veil on the image); because we had a lot of football to look why all tested devices declined so our main focus, and far too often the main reason again
+ Image (contrast, colors, etc.) with playback via HDMI is Top. Although it has a lot of effort (forums, test programs, etc.) took to find the perfect setting for a few weeks, it was worth it. Even MotionPlus brings with the right attitude even add value instead of disturbing so far. SD content on the Sky receiver scaled to 1080i also look good. Here, however, it is still worth a HD / HD + subscription finish.
+ 3D is amazing; by far the best 3D representation of all previously tested by us TV. Whether this wow factor on Curved panel is to be seen, in any case, the depth effect is very good. Ghosting and so we could not tell
+ We were skeptical if that could not nervous because of the curved design in the long term. Today we would not miss it, you get used to it. And it is also a style a highlight for each apartment (without exception every visitor with us first examined the "crooked" TV).
+ Processing and materials used are super
+ No annoying fan (as unfortunately in most UHD devices from Samsung)
+ Processing and materials used are super
+ Nice gimmick: the coupling of Samsung mobile phones to the TV: in a matter of seconds so you can show pictures, videos on TV in the United
Negatives:
- Also our LED device has Clouding. Since this is unfortunately manufacturing / technology due apparently not be prevented, it is always the question: how much Clouding is present or how much luck you had in the ordinary scattering series, and you can live with it? We have the usual 4 torches in the outer corners and a small spot on the top right. Since it is difficult to see in dark image content with custom image setting we have decided to keep the TV. Normal should deduct a star here, but since all the LED devices including "suffering", and it is still moving in our under, we leave it at that.
- The angle of view is minimally impaired than planning standard panels for the curved design. Sitting at the far right or left dims somewhat the picture. Care should be taken right-center to sit in front of the device, especially in 3D.
- Why the base is slightly tilted backwards just know Samsung ....
Conclusion: to really times UHD content than standard / mass appeal are available (BluRays, television, etc.) reaches this TV in the EU version (identical 8090) for us completely out. The time of purchase (July 2014) were the UHD devices still overpriced for us and unausgreift (eg fans go on TV not at all), and whether the price difference to full HD in the absence of UHD content currently only justifies the upscaling of a UHD device is undecided ,
Who luck to live in mass distribution of panels or with minor restrictions: strong buy recommendation for the UE55H80x0 !!
