In science fiction, there are two words: science and fiction. To my conaissance Greg Egan is the only whose novels actually correspond to the definition of these two words. The riddle of the universe, opens doors on scientific extrapolations affecting philosophy. That's not all, the novel is truly exciting and scientific hypotheses, beautifully popularized, are presented as plots that, for the mind, are a treat. Greg Egan, one can say that science fiction takes its pedigree.
