In 1991, Diapason wrote in his dictionary records "Haefliger - tenor as was Schubert himself - let us discover a young man still, wandering, haggard face, already inhabited by fever, sometimes at the edge of delirium: hallucinated, the traveler does not fear, at times, chopping the words as if they necessarily came up to him in spite of himself, as if they exceeded the frightening reality, making the listener unable to clarify whether the tenor sings or even talking now. Jörg Ewald Dähler painted this disarray with the same intensity, and Hammerflügel perfectly meets the intentions of the singer. "
