The response times are lightning fast (switching-to-first-photo-phase), the menus respond quickly, the autofocus is surprisingly good even in dark places and with off (!) AF light.
The optical image stabilizer is not a marketing gimmick but really brings to the 2 EV margin. Ie you can still loose shoot with 1/15 second stable images instead of 1/60 second. I would not have thought possible in this price range.
The display is very good and almost as big as my DSLR. Insufficient display resolution I can not find it's sharp and bright and also it depends on the record and not on the display. That one is in the brightness can not be adjusted, does not bother me in the least.
The automatic white balance is sensational; the built-in chip, it creates any color cast from the incandescent light filter out clean. Manual white balance is also possible if you want to keep the mood light consciously.
In manual mode "M", a real-time bar graph of the exposure is even displayed in retrospect even a histogram. No better way to assess its impact on the ground.
With ASA / ISO-values greater than or equal 400 rushing course all sensors and you can see it. But even 1600, you can still look at the pictures of the A590 "painless" and they do not look "ripped off" from, as with other cameras in this price range.
Macro mode can also convince - it delivers correct exposure even with flash, thanks to the large display, the sharpness level can be well judged.
And best of all, it runs on normal AA Mignon cells !! After more than 200 recordings the Sanyo Eneloops were apparently still full.
On Windows, the camera is automatically detected and transmitted the images via Wizard, you do not install the supplied software, if you need any of it.
First deductions are only ordered, seen on the monitor but the images ever made of excellent!
I would recommend the camera fully and warmly!
