A vinyl demanding that undermines the smallest installations

I do not dwell on the quality of the pieces and the provision of NJ and its musicians, which I like to regularly listen to this album without getting bored.

The content is up, but unfortunately not the support. I will pass on the simple and slim fit case, which is not a criterion of judgment for me (but perhaps it is for others). The real, big downside of this edition is the pressing quality that seems unworthy of the work. Visually, the disc is very light and above it is clear that it is not made carefully. He arrived with very poorly trimmed edges and a protrusion on the outer edge. The sound level is about right, especially at the instrumental level. Too bad that it spoils when the lady sings. Then noted the emergence of a sizeable distortion when the voice of Norah racing, as well as the "CH". Too bad. I hardly believe that it comes from the recording, which seems good, or even my cell (a Ortofon 2M Red) who never disappointed me so far. For me it comes from pressing (but this is only my opinion). Maybe I would have done better to choose pressing 200 grams which enjoys a good review but at 50 the end it gets more than crippling ...

I return to my previous comment. After purchasing and installing a stylus 2M Blue replace my 2M Red (ie with a higher quality diamond), it turns out that the sound performance offered by this LP is largely better than noted in my previous comment; distortions and blast effects on the voice of Norah Jones having completely disappeared. So here we are facing a demanding recording can undermine an otherwise ridiculous material. Indeed, the Ortofon 2M Red cell mounted on my turntable Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit is recognized as a good quality cell (especially given its price) and I did not expect that it can be made such failure in a recording point (this is also the only one in my collection LP who has really undermined).

So was the score of 2 to 5 stars because I am now fully satisfied with this purchase. Warning to potential future buyers of this vinyl: This purchase clearly not be worth it if you do not get a quality system (including a good set platinum - cell); in this case it is better to get the CD in my opinion.
