Unfortunately, I have never seen ABBA live, my parents would have something to me at that time hardly paid and thus I know this group actually only a studio band. The only thing that was published by them until now live were "The Movie" with concert excerpts and very abbreviated DVD "In Concert", which referred to the tour in 1979. The live album from 1986 was a compilation of two tours and a TV show. Now you have the fan finally a complete concert on CD and even a song by Agnetha, who has so far never been officially released (I'm Still Alive). Now I've never been a big fan of live plates, somehow I like almost all of the artists studio recordings better, and that's even with ABBA so, but this publication is something special for a fan who has the studio albums in tens of versions at home. Unlike it is common today, where at least parts of the band music come prepared from "Band", seem to have really played ABBA live and that gives the songs, of course, a completely different sound when it was produced in the studio for the albums. The tracks were arranged like the studio versions, they have not been especially re-edited, with the possible exception of "Money, Money, Money" or the fact that "Knowing Me, Knowing You" is played in the chorus a bit slower or "Summer Night City" total a bit faster. The voices of Agnetha and Frida like me definitely in the studio a lot better, even if they could be heard well to live, especially in my opinion Frida is happening there, particularly pointing. Agnetha's voice comes to me, especially in faster songs, sometimes a bit reluctant before, their strengths were clearly in the ballads. When "As Good As New" if I had only barely recognized, I would not know the song. But all this should not be a negative criticism, I have to just to get used to the live sound of ABBA .... I am pleased, like almost all reviewers here, happy about this release because hardly anyone had really expected something like this, especially as in some places even said that the tapes of the tours had landed in the trash after the combination cuts of the films. So thanks to the Son of Benny, who has taken the trouble to work this evening of November 10 at Wembley Arena. Maybe he now nothing more to do and sets out to sift further material and a DVD of this concert we would of course look forward all so much more !!!
