I have many years experience in commercial printing, all in IT. Prior to my start as a programmer for Printing Inc, in Wichita, KS, I was a Regional Sales Manager for Newer Technology. Newer manufactured memory and accelerator products, primarily for Apple Macintosh.
Starting as a programmer trainee at Printing Inc, I was eventually promoted to Vice-President of Technology. Printing Inc is a fantastic company, firmly committed to technological innovation. We wrote all of our own Plant Management software in-house, from estimating to scheduling to invoicing. While at Printing Inc, I wrote the first version of COIN, the industry's first online print procurement system with real-time proof capabilities.
When Printing Inc was acquired by Consolidated Graphics, I was appointed Director of Development, tasked with re-writing COIN to support the entire corporation. COIN now supports a customer base of over 200 of the largest U.S. corporations. Note: CGX apparently no longer uses the term "COIN", instead calling the system "Online Print Procurement".
Since my work at Consolidated Graphics, I have continued to provide technology solutions to commercial printers worldwide, primarily in the areas of PostScript programming and e-Commerce development.
My resume is available for potential employers/clients.
