Now about "600-ohm version": The 600 ohm version is just a tad bit analytical and "clear" in the sound as the 250 ohm version, however I recommend then URGENT a good headphone amplifier! On "normal" headphone output on the receiver can possibly. Problems give, because the 600-ohm resistor simply requires more "power"! So: who has a good headphone amplifier, should resort to the 600 ohm version. All other can use the 250-ohm variation certainly (also) live very well and enjoy high-quality music enjoyment! The 80-ohm variation that I have personally not tested, however is likely to be available only for users of MP3 players, etc. of interest, since in these devices, the 250-ohm variation (and the 600 ohm version certainly not !) does not make sense or may well not work! Should be considered for all other interested anyway only the higher ohmic variants.
To summarize:
a) the 600-ohm version for music connoisseurs who have a really good headphone amplifier
b) the 250-ohm version for all music connoisseurs WITHOUT headphone amplifier (except for MP3 users, Discman users, etc.)
c) the 80 ohm version for mp3 users, Discman users, etc.!
I would be glad if one or the other-DT880 prospects could be mediated by my review helpful suggestions!
